this will take the thread down from 94 to 93... Two complete Boy Meets Girls TV Shows digitally remastered from the original soundtrack recordings... The CD contains a tewlve page booklet which include many photos... 34 tracks listed Audio CD Boy Meets Girls TV Shows Vol. 1 £ 14.43 www.amazon.co.uk/Boy-Meets-Girls-shows-Vol1/dp/B00B1678JS
An Eddie Cochran expert some years ago told me that these shows were transferred from surviving footage back in the early '70s, but sometime later the video/film was junked. Maybe others can give more info? Certainly, the Eddie Cochran performance was issued on vinyl in 1972:

EDIT: This release states "Special thanks to Thames Television for their permission and assistance in making this record available":

Peter I posted this in the Boy Meets Girls thread but Jack Good noted in his column in Disc in 1960 that every episode of Boy Meets Girls had been destroyed months after broadcast. He stated this after receiving mail asking if the Eddie shows could be repeated. I don't have the Boy Meets Girls (Rockstar) cd handy but I think those came from the collection of an engineer on the show who kept some audios. Rockstar Records were tipped off to this by Joe Brown, located said engineer and his tapes. Unfortunately, a Volume 2 has not been forthcoming and I've heard of two instances where Marty Wilde (or his management) have refused permission for archive ventures. Some recorded off the telly tapes survive too, I forget which episodes they are but there is some duplication with the Rockstar Release. I can't be 100% sure but thanking Thames Television may have been done in the same way you might thank the BBC (and have to pay them) when releasing an off air of a radio session they wiped !

possible good news?...
the dates we have for this show are the dates from TV Brain for the first showing of this series on BBC 2
But...
According to BBC Genome, it was repeated later that year, 1968, on BBC 1 20 September - 11 October
one of those repeat episodes was dated 4 October 1968
if you type in
Esther & Abi Ofarim - One More Dance 1968
a 33 second clip comes up of them singing One More Dance and the date underneath it is 3 October 1968

I don't believe it is.
The caption says 'Tegendraads' (that's Contrary' in Dutch), which I'm presuming may have been a show on one of the Dutch TV channels.
Shame, but I'm unconvinced it's a UK clip.
Sorry, William and thank you for your sterling work, but this is a no from me.

This is off-topic from music, but I noticed that ‘High Jinks’ starred Ray Alan and his ventriloquist puppets Tich and Quackers. I’ve found a YouTube clip which contains a brief fragment from their 1966 series ‘Tich and Quackers’. I think this series is completely missing.
The clip shows the beginning of the episode ‘The Examination’ which was broadcast on 24 July 1966. The footage is 8mm, silent and extremely short, but it might still be of interest to some of you.
The title of the clip is ‘Off Air BBC 1 TV 8mm Dutch F1, BBC 1 globe indent and Tich and quackers: the examination (LOST?)'

Both were LWT, if they are, then on that last episode of It's Sunday with David Jacobs, were Family Dogg - Arizona and Barry Ryan - The Hunt. Barry Ryan - The Hunt was released just 2 days earlier on Friday 12 September, so he must have been singing this latest release. But who were Family Dogg, does anyone know them?

Family Dogg had Steve Rowlands, famous for being producer of DDDM and T in the 60's.
Albert Hammond was a member too. They had a bizrare totp appearamce with the Bouncing Ball.
Most of the footage I've seen of them is from Beat Club. Steve was on a best of Beat Club shown in the 80's when he talks about his time with the band.
