DISCOVERY 122: The Simon Dee Show – Marty Feldman interview tx: 29/3/1970 LWT

Anyone know an exact tx date?

DISCOVERY 125: Decidedly Dusty tx: 9/9/1969 BBC 1
Dusty Springfield with Spike Milligan, 10 minutes only
Sadly only in audio, but these are still incredible finds by Kevin Smith. Returned at our Swinging Sixties event and very gratefully received.
We start a new type of strand tonight: Recovery Updates. Things previously announced as found, but we add detail to them. This enables us to keep people updated as the finds grow bigger and better.
RECOVERY UPDATE 1: A Boy Called Donovan – tx: 19/1/1966 Rediffusion
With Donovan
RECOVERY UPDATE 2: Liberace in London – tx: 13/8/1968 Thames TV
With Liberace
At the Swinging Sixties event Ray Langstone gave the Kaleidoscope Archive the best materials he has found so far for these titles which he had found some years ago. It’s good to preserve the best materials possible. Thanks Ray!
RECOVERY UPDATE 3: Crossroads
I have always had a soft spot for Crossroads and tried very hard in 2015 to get the whole series back on Big Centre TV. Sadly a sponsor could not be found and it proved too expensive.
In 2007 Greg Taylor had announced that he had found some film inserts; and Kaleidoscope tried very hard to find those for the Crossroads Check-In TV series. ITV could find no trace of the can. We persevered and eventually located 32 cans of film inserts. Kaleidoscope has had those transferred to digibeta and now we are shot-listing the contents.
The first three hours contains:
The wedding of Brian and Janice tx: 26/11/1965
An aeroplane chase involving Marilyn and a pilot pursuing another plane tx: 20/6/1967
Carlos and Georgia fighting – in a warehouse with guns, unknown tx
Carlos in a bull fighter outfit teasing a bull, complete with original ATV caption card advertising Crossroads. Unknown tx, probably a trail?
Unexploded bomb footage tx: 1967
Sandy in Paris tx: 1/8/1965
Gerry’s crash tx: 17/11/1967
Tunisia tx: 30/6/1967 and subsequent weeks
Susan Hanson on a train tx: 17/7/1968
Meg learning to fly a plane, unknown tx
Police on moorland, unknown tx
Meg crashing while driving in the rain, unknown tx
A deal, Mr Lovejoy enters… tx: 2/8/1968
Kaleidoscope will update people as more footage is logged. There are many short sequences where identification is proving impossible at present. If anyone has Crossroads scripts, that might help?
I hope members here will be able to expand detail so we log the footage better; and fingers crossed it will get shown at a future MBW event.
