The latest issue of DWM promises a 'Massive Revelation' in its preview of the episode 'Face the Raven'. Dare I hope that it might be a clip from a hitherto-believed-missing episode?. OK so I'm almost certainly clutching at straws, but I'm just trying to cheer myself up after the Web 3 situation and the Underwater Menace DVD that seems to have failed to live up to some peoples' expectations!

If there was a clip from a missing episode in a new episode it would distract from the story being shown. . .

A) Totally pointless thread in my opinion. Moderator.
B) Please spare a thought before you post for those people who do not read anything about upcoming episodes. (Like me). I choose not to read the previews in DWM and enjoy any 'revelations' as the episode progresses. Not everyone wants to know, so thanks for that.

The massive revelation will probably be some emotionally charged issue concerning the Doctor which produces tears in all the regulars but does nothing to move the narrative on...

Please let it not be another romance. I don't mind the Doctor having romantic interests, but, IMHO, they have had way too much of it in the revival.

Please let it not be another romance. I don't mind the Doctor having romantic interests, but, IMHO, they have had way too much of it in the revival. The Doctor keeps going on about his traumatic experiences during the Time War but never mentions his greatest triumph against Prof Zaroff in Atlantis... There probably subliminal persuasion to go out and buy the Big Finish Time War Box sets that will feature Sir John Hurt. The current series will give answers to revelations that will be revealed by Big Finish (well that's my theory at least) |

A fat bloke in a pub has just told me that the revelation involves the Doctor and the Master being lovers when at school, and the Master's penchant for wearing nothing except the sash of Rassilon. This angered the Time Lords, especially Timothy Dalton, forcing the Doctor to end the romance and to flee. And this is why the Master has spent years trying to destroy him, but just, ahem, pulling out at the last minute.

Thing is, that wouldn't qualify as a massive revelation to 99& of the current audience, who probably wouldn't have a clue whether the footage they were watching was from a supposedly missing episode or not. A lot of the modern audience have little or no interest in the classic series, sadly. |

I don't think I'm going deaf but I can never hear what they're saying! I don't have that problem with the classic series. No it's not just you and thank goodness it's not just me! I'm two episodes behind right now but the last few episodes I've had a horrible time understanding what was being said. I never have a problem with the classic series either and only just this season of the new Who. |
