Just an update to the thread from missing believed wiped. A complete missing edition of 'Do not adjust your set' has been recovered I believe from France. The episodes unique in that it was recovered on a tape copy from the master tape (i.e. not a film telerecording).

I hear that it was on a Philips 1500 ( ? ) cassette copy made in 1976 and I think something to do with an ABC TV batch. The show was inserted into a french childrens T.V. programme which they had kept.

That must be the earlier reported S1E4 that won a prize and therefore was kept. Then again that doesn't match the last bit you wrote.

12/08/57 Episode 2 Desirable Residence No discernible difference in the synopsis for this episode

19/08/57 Episode 3 Vacant Possession All the efforts of Billy McQuirtle and his pals at the estate office to stop the millionaire Augustus Trim from buying an ancient Scottish castle have failed. When he decides to see it for himself and invites the entire office to go with him for a weekend Billy gets a brainwave.

26/08/57 Episode 4 (No details)

02/09/57 Episode 5 Castle Plot Now that millionaire Augustus Trim is happily installed in the Scottish Castle, it seems there is nothing that Billy and his pals can do to put him off. However, when they meet Red Wully six feet four and red bearded Billy has the idea of entering Trim against him in the Highland Games.

09/09/57 Episode 6 Going Concern For Billy's last attempt to put Augustus Trim off, he decides to haunt the castle disguised as a ghost. Whether his plan will succeed depends on Trim's reaction to nocturnal disturbances.

It was a colleague who referred to the last details. But I don't think that's the same one you're talking about as I think this one was just kept as it was used in something else by the relevant station regardless of posterity. I could be wrong though.

No, sadly it's the same one that was found some time ago. Because that was found on N1500 but on closer inspection on digibeta.
