(I WAS THRILLED IT WAS TO BE MY FIRST TELEVISION OUT OF THE CHORUS )AND THEN AS AN AFTER THOUGHT SHE SAID "WE HAVE NO BUDGET SO YOU WILL HAVE TO CHOREOGRAPH TOO!!!!!!

I REMEMBER MAVIS TRAILL WHO I HAD WORKED WITH IN TWENTY MINUTES SOUTH A MUSICAL FROM THE PLAYERS THEATRE ..SHE WAS AN EX BALLET RAMBERT DANCER WITH A GREAT GIFT FOR COM EDY AND TONY BATEMEAN WHO WAS A COMIC DANCER ACTOR..I THINK PATSY ROWLANDS AND ROBIN HUNTER WERE ALSO IN IT AND MAYBE PAT SANDYS (MOTHER OF SAMANTHA BOND.)..I COULD BE MISTAKEN THIS COULD HAVE BEEN COOL FOR CATS..DO YOU HAVE A CAST LIST?
WE DID IT IN A TINY LOW CEILINGED BASEMENT STUDIO IN HOLBORN WITH A COUPLE OF DAYS REHEARSAL AND THEN ON.......LIVE!!!!.MOST OF THE MATERIAL WAS WRITTEN BY PETER MOFFATT WHO WAS MARRIED TO JOAN AND WENT ONTO BECOME TV DIRECTOR TOO..EASTENDERS ETC.

I CHOREOGRAPHED AND APPEARED IN THE WHOLE SERIES OF TWENTY TO TWELVE ....SHORT AS IT WAS..IT WAS TOO EARLY FOR MORNING TELLY IT SEEMED AND TOOK A FEW MORE YEARS TO GET THAT OFF THE GROUND.
I HAVE VERY FOND MEMORIES OF THE SERIES AND WOULD BE ONLY TOO HAPPY TO SHARE THEM

Twenty-To-Twelve was my first choreographic job so the beginning of my career in that role. They just didn't have any money in the Twenty-To-Twelve budget so it was a baptism of fire.

I can confirm that all the Jack Hylton Presents titles listed as "missing" were transmitted live, and I've not seen any paperwork that suggests they were ever recorded. In those early days Hylton only recorded programmes where the "star" couldn't do the live show, or he thought he may be able to sell the series in the USA. Although Jack Hylton Presents TX 24.5.56 is the only one of the live Crazy Gang shows which was recorded, the BFI National Archive also has a programme called Friday Night With the Crazy Gang TX 5.10.56, which was filmed at the Adelphi Theatre and uses some of the sketches from their review "Jokesr Wild". 3 of these sketches had been shown in Jack Hylton Presents TX 24.4.56, but were performed live and only seen in the London region. The recorded programme has dubbed laughter.
Incidentally, anyone who is visiting London and able to go the the BFI Mediatheque can ask to view JHP 24.5.56 - for free!
