I'm pretty sure this doesn't survive, if indeed it ever was recorded.

I gather the photo was taken in the studio then during the tapings. Pity this would have made a good extra on a DVD set

Yeah it's a pity, but we're also missing Satan cartoon, choreographed political broadcast etc.

Also. In the "11-year hide-and-seek sketch", I thought I remembered seeing the studio presentator as a skeleton. But on the DVD I didn't see that. Am I imagining this??

Is that on the DVD? Easter egg maybe?

No, although the episode with satan ends with the same show fastforwarded. If you pause or slow your dvd player at the right moment, you can still see bits of it in colour.
But the skeleton in Hide-and-seek? Anyone recall that? It's shortly after he is covered in dust and webs.

No, I meant that hide-and-seek is in fact not on the DVD. Unless your copy is some sort of bootleg, or mock DVD.

Yes it is. I watched it yesterday! I am talking about the 14 DVD set here.

I was under the impression that there was only the 3-disc "Best Of" , sometimes with "Live At Aspen" included as well

In the U.K., yes. That three-disc set starts quite well but ends disappointing. And it's censored. After the first disc the energy was clearly gone. The fourth disc Live at Aspen also contains the entire 1999 30th anniversary python night, uncensored, but it will not play in the right order so the connecting sketches appear pointless. There is a 14 disc U.S. set, also available as a cheap Chinese release. That is censored. The 16 disc set is the same + Python Live. Really, all python DVD's have something wrong with them. I tried to make a list at www.montypythonmuseum.tk, but haven't filled in all details yet.

Ah yes. Does anyone have any idea when/if a proper region 2 DVD set featuring all the Python episodes, plus recovered missing bits will be released? Also I find it a bit of a cheek that they need 14 discs for 45 half-hour episodes.

Does the "choreographed party political broadcast" sketch survive?
