It makes me really furious that they've had Underwater Menace 2 since mid 2011 and not released it. We've been buying the classic releases since the late nineties and purchased every episode bar this one. Just one!!

Might there...just MIGHT THERE be a longer-term positive reason for this, as John Wall intimates? Surely, they wouldn't cancel the whole range with an episode/story still to release unless SOMETHING else was going on. New contractual obligations, for instance...

Once the UWM was released I would have thought the Classic DW range would have come to an end anyway (barring anything else turning up).
I'm still positive that is story is going to be released, there has been no official cancellation, just rumour.

Steve Roberts' comment relates to the DVD range as was, of which TUM is the last gasp, as it were. |

I can think of 90 something reasons why  But it only makes the rumours persist by lack of info on this subject. There are 2 left that qualify for dvd release. But 1 i doubt will ever be animated. |

It is easy to overlook cost cutting at the BBC and budget restraints. Someone might have had a long hard look and thought is it worth throwing loads of cash at releasing this and animating the missing parts? As you say, Shelly, would it really hurt to shed some light on the plans for UM, even if its release is on hold for now. |

But make it very difficult when they lay rumours on a plate for everyone to discuss over ! The lack of clarity on most things is why this happens......... And i know we are owed nowt !!! If I recall right, weren't Planet 55 telling the Australian government that underinvestment in Internet backbone was causing them monumental headaches, and they were considering relocating to the UK?
If this isn't the root cause of the issue/rumour, then I'll be amazed.
