Hi I’ve asked on another forum so apologies for double posting. Are these two episodes more or less being shown in the state they were found or has lots of restoration been done? Also, are these the only two episodes from BBC Series 1 that exist plus a small edited section from another episode? They were recovered as B&W prints. Thank you John

This is currently on ITV3 now, has it been shown previously on ITV1?

Thanks Simon Edited to add: Well, it's not a bad set but I see what people mean about the quality, some promos look fairly washed out. And The Hard Days Night Promo clip nearly gave me motion sickness! Not sure I really understand the VT clocks on disc 2 either but hey ho! Kyle Forgot to say, they've done something to the Real Love mix as well oddly...

Hi all
I didn't know the Beatles promos had finally been released, very poor fan I know! However, having looked on Amazon, I am confused, do I need to buy the deluxe bluray to get all the videos or will the standard one suffice? (I'm not bothered about the book)
Looking at the listing, it doesn't seem clear to me?
Thanks in advance Kyle

Not on subject of anything missing; but I noticed there seems to be a different style for most of 'Invasion of the Earthmen'. Recall Dave Rodgers I think writing about Brian Clemens resigning at that time and a replacement producer coming in for a short period. Does anyone know any more precise details on that as I'm curious? I think John Bryce came back as producer for three episodes. It didn't seem to work well and Clemens/Fennell came back as producers. I think they remodeled two existing eps, and brought Diana Rigg back for one episode to write her out and write Tara in. The Forget Me Knot was shown first though, with Have Guns Will Haggle and Homicide and Old Lace being the result of much reworking. I don't know whether Invasion of the Earthmen was similarly reedited. The original two episodes were Invitation to a Killing and The Great Great British Crime respectively. As said, others here will know way more than me!

Hi
Others here, far more knowledgable than I (!) will be able to assist, but I believe the subtitles (Steed does this, Emma does that) were dropped possibly because of the U.S. network influence. Also missing from this point on are the We're Needed bits at the beginning.
