Hi I've been lurking on this forum for a few weeks and just decided to join in. I've noticed that TOTP2 seemed to have listened and are showing 2 "new" clips next weekend. Here's the lineup: "There are archive classics from Roxette, Bonnie Tyler, Meat Loaf, and Brian & Michael, plus footage of the Byrds and Cockney Rebel never seen on TOTP2 before, an LS Lowry-style video exclusive from Oasis and a brand new performance from Amy Winehouse"

I have limited funds but I'd be willing to add some money to the fund if it meant we would get to see these recordings.
What i find strange is, Why aren't the BBC or Granada interested in this auction?.

You'd need something like this i asume freespace.virgin.net/andy.valve/cv2000.htmor a specialst company to convert them. Looking through this listing, it appears too good to be true. Most if not all are 'missing' material. If this is real, then it has got to be the most important find to date

There's a lot of information saying that 2 1974 editions survive. Having checked the archive it seems to confirm this 15/10/1974 Featuring: Pepsie and Shirlie - Hey Mr Christmas (i thought this was Showaddywaddy, and shown in October ) Bay City Rollers - Raining in Your Heart/Freedom Road/Shang a Lang/All of me Loves All of You Barry Blue - Touch of Your Loving Hand Ayshea Brough - Horace Brown Eli Culbertson - Mountain Boy. 17/12/1974 Featuring: Beano - Candy Baby Crane - American Dream Stephanie Sykes - Only Love Vincent Edwards - Wonderland Showaddywaddy - Hey Mr Christmas There is no sign of the last edition with 'Sweet' however. This may suggest that this may be from Andy Scott's private archive. 2 other editions 'apparently' may survive 08-Jan-1970 & 01-Mar-1973. No details on these episodes however as they have not been 'properly' archived as of yet. I get the impression that maybe more of 'Lift-Off' may exist, but has yet to be catalogued by Granada. If memory serves me - Lift-Off was shown on all the ITV channels, some at different times which suggests that copies would have been made and sent to the various ITV companies. Perhaps they still have copies somewhere. (It Happens) Does anyone have information that would suggest that Granada still have more tapes to catalogue?
