Great find. Appears to be a single VHS sourced clip judging by the start & end of the clip though. Also Hermans Hermits www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6hfp0hmUAcIs this the same app that totp2 showed?

Yet again Lance, thanks for finding these little gems.
This is from 'The Tube' circa 1983. If i remember correctly, the interview was followed by a clip from 'Lift-Off' which i think showed The Sweet and the Glitter Band.

"Richard Barnes singing "Take To The Mountains". "
Lance, I believe that this performance is from the German Tv Show 'Hits-a-go-go' not Totp.

Great to see this again, but does anyone know where this clip has come from? Is it part of a full show, or does it exist as a stand alone clip?

This looks interesting, however i don't think it could be 'Crocodile Rock' since this program is about space inventions it would have to be 'Rocket Man'. and since as you say that he didn't perform this on Totp on that date, it probably isn't from totp, either that or they got the original date wrong again

This is what we get instead "The BBC has commissioned six Top Of The Pops 2 specials, including one dedicated to The Police. The other five shows, which will last between an hour and an hour and a half, will be themed around the Eurovision song contest, summer hits, Halloween chart successes, country music and Christmas hits."
