During a wonderful holiday at Caister in August 1964, I remember seeing one of those early jukeboxes that had a film that played along with the record - and I clearly recall watching Screaming Lord Sutch performing "Jack The Ripper". It's the only time I ever heard the song! A long shot, but I wonder if any of these jukebox films survive? Do you mean scopitones Colin? Loads survive. They were very popular in France. Some famous scopitones are the Locomation featuring Jackie Lee and Bobby Vee The Night Has a Thousand Eyes With regards to scopitones, you'll find a great selection of them and the history Here scopitones.com/with lots of pictures and dvd compilations Also I can't remember or indeed find any footage of Johnny Preston - Running bear Emile Ford - What do you wanna make those eye's (or any footage for that matter) Russ Hamilton The paper Dolls (something here in my heart) Jackie - White horses Guy Darrell - I've been hurt (circa 73) Chairman of the board - anything from their hit period(70-73) James Darren - Goodbye cruel world Eden Kane - Well I ask you(some scopitone footage of obscure stuff aroud) The piglets - Johnny Reggae (any promo feat Jonathan King) Strange how so many Number one's and big hits are missing visual records I'm looking for any info on the band F F and Z if anyone can help, I think there was a connection with Maggie Bell ?

I'm always wanting to know what footage survives to represent different artists in the archive and this is a list of some people I have seen very little of and seem generally to have fallen through the net. I am trying to build up a picture and discover what is missing / existing. Can you folks here help me? Feel free to add other acts who seem to be missing from the tv archives. This is my little pet project! Many thanks. Dave Johnny Kidd and the Pirates The Tornadoes Screaming Lord Sutch Graham Bond Organisation John Mayall's Bluesbreakers The Action Harmony Grass Colosseum Edgar Broughton Band And a few more : Don Partridge (Rosie) Plastic Penny(everthing I am) fishbaugh fishbaugh and zorn (FF & Z) Disco Tex and the sex-o-letts Don Fardon (indian reservation)

ABSOLUTELY PAUL.....!!?? I've seen it twice in the past 5 years (once on the early evening Saturday repeats on BBC1) and it was cut. I wrote about it on a comedy forum and no-one gave a nuts. I was finding my way towards a real forum who'd understand my frustration i.e here!! T. I find that absolutely amazing then..... all this stupid censorship is really ridiculous. As I said earlier, various "words"/"phrases"/"Gary Glitter" etc...etc...etc.. are all part of history and should not just be "cut" because someone thinks they 'might offend' - it's like trying to pretend things never happened! Ironically, going back to the Only Fool's cuts - especially the "p" word references - I know many people from this region of the world who actually (in early eighties OFAH context) actually think it's quite ok to leave this word in.... Still, there you go, that's censorship for you. Wonder what next they'll try and cut out from shows from the past? The mind boggles..... There is always Derek Longmuir from the Bay City Rollers with umpteen videos and numerous films and internet images found in is house. Not many instances of the Rollers being censored though, Add to that Chris Langham, Roman Polanski, R kelly

My comment about the tele-recording b/w or colour was just a query, the Lost shows is a Invaluable resource and must take a lot of time to update, keep it up chaps!!

No. Apparently ITV t/s have the sub-carrier switched off. Lost shows doesn't state whether the tele recording is in colour or b/w could we be in luck ?

The 7/11/74 T.O.T.P. edition is the one that intrigues me(apart from the 60's gold of course) featuring Splinter - a fantastic song and one i have never seen performed anywere also the Javells, a favorite of mine for a long time with Sparks, Queen etc Definately one of the classic editions of the pops

So Very sad to hear of this loss, such a great presenter now gone. One of the first voices to be heard on the infamous Radio Caroline in 1964. I had only seen the odd clip appear from Simon Dee.Agreed, any Dee material, including ITV material seems to be quite rare indeed. Such as 1st edition of Dee Time from 04/04/67 with Lance Percival and The Jimi Hendrix Experience (anyone happen to know what tracks were performed on this particular show?Just curious). The Tremeloes,Lulu,Manfred Mann,The Move,The Kinks,The Turtles, The Small Faces,Matt Munroe,Bob Monkhouse, Herman's Hermits,The Bee Gees, The Fortunes,P.J.Proby,Eric Burdon and The Animals,Harry Secombe,Procol Harum,Rolf Harris,Dick Emery, The Dave Clark Five,The Alan Price Set,Billy Fury,Tony Blackburn(1968),Sandie Shaw, and many more.Is saddening seeing so many acts missing from the archives. From a show which had a peak viewing audience of around 15 million people in 1967-1969. Cheers,Lance. Interesting to note that Bob Monkhouse being one of the guests, giving the slight possibility that maybe this show could be contained in Bobs video archive as i believe he tried to keep any shows he appeared in. Hopefully we'll have a pleasant suprise at the Bfi in October

I have seen half a dozen episodes (courtesy of a well known auction site) and whilst not being Hancock at his best, it certainly is entertaining and i would'nt say it does his reputation any harm
