Fun thread - I first saw Terror of the Zygons, on a laser disc, while visiting the UK years ago & what do you know, it's coming to DVD this September. In looking at the list of laser disc releases, it does seem that the TV movie was issued on laser disc - but only in Hong Kong - www.timelash.com/tardis/display.asp?678I wonder what that one would go for on eBay?

My guess is that it all comes down to time and money - BBC wouldn't spend it on either. The Loose Cannon team has made the effort to clean them up for their recent releases. Also, this was certainly the case for the Joint Venture reconstruction group (circa 1998- 2001) as Richard D. can confirm.

It would be awesome to see the William hartnell and Patrick troughton years in colour.marco polo, the celestial toymaker and the war games are crying out to be colourised as they have really colourful sets. The first Marco Polo recon (LC17) done by Loose Cannon (February of 2002) was entirely in colour - they colourised all the B&W photos - recons.com/features/lc17x-1.htm

I do not know for sure, but in some discussion elsewhere, it was said that Rick Lundeen dropped 'The Feast of Steven' part of the storyline to increase the pace of the story. Personally, I would like to see it too but understand the decision.

Maybe the BBC should do it using David Bradley as William Hartnell - and use the "new" trailer as a promo for the forthcoming dramatised account of Doctor Who‘s early years, An Adventure In Space and Time!

"My name is William Hartnell and, as Doctor Who, I make my debut on Saturday the 23rd November at 5.15.
The Doctor is an extraordinary old man from another world who owns a time and space machine.
He and his grand-daughter, Susan (played by Carole Ann Ford) have landed in England and are enjoying their stay, until Susan arouses the curiosity of two of her school-teachers (played by William Russell and Jacqueline Hill). They follow Susan and get inside the Ship and Doctor Who decides to leave Earth, starting a series of adventures which I know will thrill and excite you every week."
1963 Radio Trailer - An Unearthly Child
Excuse my ignorance if the answer to this is widely know, but does the audio for this radio trailer still exist?
If not, is there any possibility that it might exist on off-air recordings of programming done in that time period?
So, are there any searchers willing to try to find it?
Thanks to Richard Bignell for the quotation -> p9 Issue 3, Nothing at the End of the Lane
