Yes. Certainly not for the faint hearted, having to pull apart the only copies in the world.

Thanks for that Paul, and very interesting to see the restoration process at work.I love the way that the engineer can't help breaking out into a broad smile as soon as he sees and hears the first few moments of episode 1 of EOTW.I know that smile was replicated on the faces of fans throughout the world when we saw those opening scenes on itunes and DVD as well!

Paul, Thanks for putting this video up for all to see. It was fascinating to watch. My only complaint is that I wanted to see more of the process! As you said, I can't begin to imagine how nervous you all were handling these prints. Clearly, though, they were in the right hands - the restorations are beautiful. Thanks again for everything you and the restoration team have done! Well done, Sir!

That was so awesome to watch! I hope this video gets on to a DVD one day. It's an amazing look into the world of Doctor Who Restoration. Thank you Paul!

That is genuinely awesome. It also demonstrates why these films need to be returned to the people who know what they're doing, too... and have the specialist equipment needed to work with it properly. Thanks for that Paul, that's been the most exciting thing I've seen all day!

Wow just looked in here and saw this. Great to be able to actually see those steps that I knew happened but could previously only see in my imagination. Wonderful stuff. Though apparently it's not the same film all the way through!

Just great to see those prints that were sitting on a shelf for almost 50 years in Jos finally returned to the BBC for fans to enjoy at last - almost seems unimaginable that they were overlooked for so long!
