Brilliant - looking forward to it! I'm guessing the "fragments" are the existing clips from otherwise lost stories? Do you think the DVDs will include the off-air audio soundtracks of the missing episodes also? I doubt it very much, but would be great to have them included to make the set as complete as possible. I wonder if any of the existing telesnaps will be featured also...

Ooh, that came out of the blue! An instant purchase for me! They've been teasing about upcoming rare vintage UK spooky TV releases for about a month now, hence the speculative thread on Roobarb.I must see how many people are saying "I told you so" over there!

Nice one! I first saw this series literally over somebody else's shoulder at the BFI a couple of years ago. I had no idea what it was, but thought it looked pretty nifty. We fell into conversation, and I was bowled over when he told me it was OOTU!

Ooh, that came out of the blue! An instant purchase for me! They've been teasing about upcoming rare vintage UK spooky TV releases for about a month now, Yes, I knew they were bringing out some TV SF later in the year but imagined that if OOTU was included in the batch, it would only be selected episodes. Amazing they've all been cleared! Such a tragedy that large chunks of the middle period of the show has been wiped though.

I forgot that the list was here: www.missing-episodes.com/ (Click on "What is missing" then on "Out of the Unknown"). Thanks to Private Fraser at the MC.

Hopefully it will have PDF's of the missing scripts, like the BFI release of 'Dead of Night' last year.

I'm not expecting that to happen, nice though it would be. I suspect it's less likely, because many of them are adaptations of published literary works. We might be lucky enough to get some of the original scripts, in theory.

Wasn't a recording of the soundtrack to Beach Head recently recovered. Is that going to be included. Can anyone at Kal confirm whether they've supplied to the BFI for this seminal release.
