They must have payed the Nation extortion rate to start with then! I didn't actually hear anything about that. But I doubt that particular channel would have been paying anything exorbitant. They'd have just said "no, thanks" and run a few more old episodes of Tales of the Unexpected, instead.

Possibly, but I had heard something a while back that the Nation estate were hindering negotiations due to their wanting payment for any Dalek stories screened! UKGold back in 92 got into this quagmire with the Nations and were unable to show any Dalek adventure (with the exception of Frontier in Space) until late 93 after which they succumbed to uncle Terry's tax and then they showed every available Dalek story up to Destiny before returning to the regular Doctor Who stories with Face of Evil!

I see that the horror channel are only showing 2 of the 6 chapters of 'the key to time' then the next story they're showing is 'the keeper of traken'. will they show the entire e-space trilogy? I thought they were currently showing the entire story. how is horror not showing all the episodes? I wish there was a channel would show all the stories like uk gold did in the 90s.

To be honest I think we should be thankful that they are showing the classic series, period. I'm watching The Androids of Tara at the moment; I haven't actually seen this since the original transmission.

Actually, Horror have so far shown the first four stories in the Key to Time series. The Key to Time is regarded as six separate stories though, not one, so there's no guarantee that The Power of Kroll and The Armageddon Factor were among the 17 that they've just acquired the rights to. They have to negotiate the rights for each story. UK Gold was a slightly different matter as the UKTV network is partly owned by BBC Worldwide. Horror isn't.

I dont think we are going to get to see parts 5 & 6 of TKOT (Kroll & Armageddon) this time around. We have had transmission dates for around 16 stories of the 17 scheduled in this block. A shame but we have to hope Horror Channel will licence some more stories next year. And lets be thankful we have had the chance to see around 60 full stories from the classic era this year

Yeah, I too noticed he'd obviously never watched the serial, and so had no idea how to pronounce the name.
He did the same thing on a previous occasion. I think it was 'Masque of Mandragora'. He didn't have a clue how to pronounce it.
