The good news is that it looks like Babelcolour is returning from the wilderness. I can't wait to see how he updates and improves upon his Daleks' Masterplan work (apparently the project he is currently working on). The only problem is that his work is so good it puts everyone else in the shade ...he does bring an audience to all of this though - and has inspired many people to create art (not just colourisation of course).

I can't wait to see what improvements he makes though, considering this is the first proper Who colourisation since gaining all that valuable professional experience producing the Mind of Evil ep 1 and Zygons extended scene colourisations.

Just a small update: I've finished my first complete scene. It's a wonderful feeling and I'm really happy with the results. I've not yet had to colourised a 'human' face, but that comes next, so I'll be keeping all of Paul's advice in the front of my mind. 9% down! 91% to go!

Would be boring if we all liked the same thing

What about animations in colour ?

What about animations in colour ? Colourising modern animation isn't that appealing as it seems unnecessary - If only they had included the option to view the animation in colour. I can see why they have only been issued in monochrome (to match the existing episodes of the story) but I'd have preferred the option. I hope they have colour versions in their archive so that if a partially missing story were ever colourised officially they could easily include a colour version of the animation. I can't see bbcww going to the expense of colourising animation.
