Can anyone clarify whether any missing material was announced at the MBW event in Edinburgh yesterday? I have heard that a missing episode of At Last The 1948 Show was shown, and not one of the Swedish compilations either. The one on the schedule was 2.2 which is almost entirely on the DVD set except for one sketch. Perhaps it wasn't the best possible choice.

Well it was good enough for me to order the 1948 Show DVD the following day - but only after confirming it contained the hilarious ballet sketch. Bit disapointed in the turnount though as the theatre has a capacity of 280 and by my estimation was slightly less than half full. Unless there was a large influx of Connery afficionados who turned up for the second half I dread to think how many would have been there for Colombe. On that basis I'd be surprised if MBW returns to Edinburgh anytime soon which is a shame as the event was well put together with some well chosen material. Unless of course Dick Fiddy does manage to tie an event in with the International TV Festival. But well done and thankyou to all concerned for bringing MBW north of the border.

Pity. Had there been a lot of promotion aimed at specific "targets"?
I'm glad it has at least inspired you to order the DVD, although it's a rotten shame that there's just as much "ALT1S" material left unreleased, most of which has noticably better picture quality too.

Well I think it was fairly well publicised with Radio Scotland features and the odd press article. Still waiting on the discs coming through the door though - a bargain at £3.64 on Amazon! Oh, and loved the shirts sketch too!

Well, if you finish the 5 compilations and still want more, make sure to have a look round for the REAL episodes 1.4, 1.6, 2.3 and 2.6 which have been spotted on the internet (1.5 and 2.5 survive too but can only be seen at the BFI on appointment).

Thanks for the info - the 1948 discs arrived yesterday and going to dip into them tonight!
