This is Phil's discovery, and he worked extremely hard to track them down.
I'm very pleased obviously and so proud of him.

These are amazing paul. thanks so much. I never thought id see these ever in my life. Me neither. The (previously only surviving) episode of Enemy isn't very good whereas Episode One of Web just served to whet the appetite for something probably unavailable. And now...

Yes.
At some point Phil will be telling his story.
Until then, let's just sit back and enjoy the episodes!
For clarity, the episodes are uncut and have been fully restored by the Restoration Team; and yes, I came out of 'retirement' to do the film work.
Regards,
Paul

Can you tell us a bit about restoration, were the episodes edited? Censor clips needed?

We'll done Phillip and Paul. Can you tell us a bit about restoration, were the episodes edited? Censor clips needed? Hi Brad, As mentioned above, the episodes were uncut in the sense that there were no censor cuts. The films were first sold to Hong Kong and found in Nigeria. We believe that the films passed through at least one other country prior to ending up in Nigeria. There were some frames missing at commercial break points, but these have been restored and the episodes are completely uncut. The story is in the Doctor Who Magazine article in the next issue. It's a great read. Regards, Paul

I am so happy tonight - this is fantastic news. There aren't words to express my gratitude to everyone involved in this amazing recovery. If only Patrick Troughton were still with us.

Er... The Web of Fear episode 1 and The Enemy of the World episode three... Paul Thanks Paul I had assumed they might have come from other story's) held by the BBC. Hopefully the Web of Fear is uncut from Hong Kong and not the edited Australian or New Zealand version Bob

Congratulations to Philip and to the rest of you. One complete story and one almost complete... amazing, simply amazing that they still existed and that he was able to recover them. Thanks for doing that, and I'm going to enjoy the episodes!
