I've a hunch this is a dupe. We shall see. Noone on here actually likes the Zarbi do they?! I do, but mainly because I read the book first, and those early target novelisations were very good. Richard

Hmm - this is interesting -- I had two prints of "The Center" one with "Next episode: The Lion" and one with a different episode (I've fogotten which). I sold one of the prints in about 2004 - I wonder if this is the print I sold, or another one...

Richard,
I concur. 'Web Planet' is a sprawling epic of a story on paper. On screen...not so much.
It's a similar reason why I was so excited about watching 'Terminus' for the same time. The book had taken me a while to read as a kiddie and had kept me engrossed. The TV serial was never going to be a patch on this...

I have a vision of Steven dusting off a Hartnell or Troughton print and rubbing his hands together in anticipation of a nice little earner.....

Guessing the caption would have read `Next Episode - The Space Museum' Steven as The Crusade was not sold to some countries due to the content. I recall the print of `The Centre' held by the BBC had this caption till another turned up in the `80s.

@ronnie - That's exactly right. I need to check which print I kept -- I know I picked the one with better picture quality, but it was 7 or 8 years ago and I've forgotton which one it was.
@john - I'd never sell a Troughton - they're my favorites.. Was sort of thinking of listing a Pertwee, but haven't decided for sure...

I wonder if this is like Bill Bell looking around his collection. You see an old film of Doctor Who film go for £1,600 and your bound to go check what you have. I wonder how many people are rooting through their collections of their attics trying to find out if they have anything valuable.

I wonder if it's a suppressed field print.

According to the seller's recent note, this print has "Next: The Lion" which is an episode of the Crusades. The Crusades was not sold to the Middle East I believe, so this isn't a Middle Eastern print or dupe. I wish there were pictures

I recall the print of `The Centre' held by the BBC had this caption till another turned up in the `80s. The package of stories sold to Middle Eastern countries did not include ANY story after "The Rescue", so the story that "The Web Planet" 6 caption was changed "due to content" was actually speculation made back in the day before it was known exactly what stories were sold to Arabic nations. Now we DO know (See DWM 444 ,and the BroaDWcast website), so the "due to content" claim is clearly a load of old shoe-makers...
