To clarify, I meant apart from NZ and Australia! Canada is the only country aside from Australia that I know of to have screened Doomwatch.

Yes. A copy of this was returned by a collector, right on the heels of the Andromeda Anthology DVD release, Drat!! As everyone at the time knew would have been included if had only been a tad bit earlier in coming forward with this material. However, still great news of course to know exists, and could one day be utilized in some way or form? My best hope would be for a online Tele-Snap Reconstruction, or stand alone BBC Audio Bonus CD release?? Online release would seem to make the most sense here for this item. We wait in hope!
Cheers, Lance.

I remember reading somewhere that Seven Serpents Sulphur and Salt was still listed as available for export by Thames with the surviving Series 3 Episodes in the late 1970's. If that is the case, then it seems surprising and unlucky that hasn't survived even in part in the Thames archive.

The thing is which series or episodes were sold abroad is there any documentation? We had this in New Zealand around '75 or '76 but we only saw the Series 3 episodes. Apparently the earlier ones had been wiped by this stage... Would be interesting to know if this screening was Season 3 plus Seven Serpents as per above?

Bump, just in case of any new contributions to be made to this vitally important thread.

Wish the Ace of Wands website was still up / exists, pretty sure it was there that the link was to the article by the guy who had or had seen seen the Thames Export program paperwork still listing Seven Serpents Sulphur and Salt as still available with Season 3 in 79 / 80. Assuming that was the case, it would be interesting if any of the overseas territories that took Season 3 had it too. I did hope last time I raised this that someone on the forum may have some info on this but sadly this appears not to be the case. Still it gives some hope that SSSS is a slightly more likely possibility for recovery than the rest of seasons 1 and 2. Here's hoping.

I believe you'll find some discussion about the paperwork on one of the threads way back here too.
AOW is one of the most well-remembered fantasy / cult series of the era but is unique in that no material exists from its classic period whatsoever (series 3 was really a partial re-boot of what had gone before, with different assistants, new HQ and title sequence). Even one episode or a clip would be better than nothing!
