Footage definitely exists of Brian Hyland performing "Sealed With A Kiss" on USTV in around 1965. I think the show was called "Hollywood A Go Go" judging by the set.

This is all interesting stuff and i've nver seen a clip of Chairman Of The Board before. With regard to Big Three, I guess the post was referring to the UK group of the same name though (I didn't know there were two either!)

How about LIVE footage of the Dave Clark Five? Everything out there has been overdubbed by Clark with the studio recordings! Incidentally, for anybody interested this site has just been launched www.thedc5.com/

The clip of Chairman of the board is from the syndicated show "Something Else" that was hosted by John Byner, and later, John Hartman. Brian Hyland clip is from the Larry Kane show, syndicated show originating from Houston, Texas.

Incidentally, for anybody interested this site has just been launched www.thedc5.com/Incredible isn't it? Plenty of DC5 footage but not a single live performance amongst them. Interesting looking site. Thanks for the link. Time the truth was known about Ron Ryan's role as well as other aspects of the DC5's history.

Once more thanks to everyone for posting more artists and suggestions here. Plenty of good ones! Yes, there was another band called Big Three, which played at the cavern (and recorded a live e.p.) Is there any footage of them?
R.Dean Taylor (is there a clip of Ghost In My House?) is an overlooked one and it's good to know there is something of Chairman Of The Board. Tomorrow really are a missing band though. I would love to see their BBC Wales appearance but I doubt it would survive. If ever there was a band that had a big reputation but no footage, this is the one!
Good point about the lack of DC5 live footage. They did gain their reputation by a residency at the Tottenham Royal originally so I guess they would have been a fairly competent live act at least. Did they ever appear live on tv?
Once again people here are coming up with lots of detailed information as well as links to clips I never knew of to make this a great thread. Thanks and keep em coming.

Mention of Screaming Lord Sutch in another thread gets me thinking about him as well. Does anybody know how much tv he did in the sixties? I am supposing he appeared on a few programmes in this country to promote his records? I know they didn't get that high in the charts but surely there were a few performances? The only actual performance footage of whole songs I know about are the Ripper promo and the seventies Beat Club colour appearance for the same song. There is newsreel and possibly magazine features of his live shows such as the sixties one and the Wembley show but that seems to be all apart from his more recent election appearances as a candidate.

I haven't caught up with the thread lately so apologies if a few comments relate to older posts.
Marbles: I'm pleased to see that a clip of Only One Woman exists. Keith mentions that he knows of no others but there is a colour appearance for a European broadcaster of The Walls Fell Down, which has appeared on a compilation music DVD release in the last few years.
I'm pleased to know there are a few Dave Berry clips in existence. I hadn't seen these but something from the '60s of him is most welcome. He was a strange, underrated one-off artist that should have had more success.
Very pleased to know about an LWT appearance for John Kongos' Tokoloshe Man. The disc is played out on a late '71 TOTP but no appearance there. So this one is a real find. I hope this gets itself licenced out for DVD release eventually. The problem is if researchers don't know the clip is there, it can't be utilised anywhere. I had certainly never heard of this before. So far no evidence of a clip of He's Gonna Step On You Again but maybe the French clip that Phillip says is out there will prove to be of this song? BTW, which other acts are featured in the LWT Top Twenty Special, Larry?
Mention of Bill Fay on Disco 2 makes me wonder if there are other audios of Disco 2. They would certainly be of more interest than (generally anyway) TOTP as bands played live. Good quality sound recordings of this series would be invaluable but I haven't heard heard of any others.
There was indeed a UK Big Three. They released a live E.P. but failed to achieve any real success aside from their live reputation. I can't imagine they would have made many broadcast appearances. Maybe TYLS would have been perhaps the most likely place?
DC5 live: On another thread, Chris mentions a Palladium audio recording. I've no idea if this was live but, from memory, pop acts appearing there usually were. So maybe this is a rare existing example?

He was a strange, underrated one-off artist that should have had more success. The Marbles "The Walls Fell Down" is on a Dutch DVD Remember the 60's volume 4. The performance is taken from the Swiss music programme 'Hits a Gogo' broadcast on 26th February 1969. They also performed their biggest hit penned by the Bee Gees 'Only One Woman' on Hits a Gogo (in colour). On the same DVD by coincidence is the recently discovered studio performance of David Bowie singing Space Oddity from 12th November 1969 which is in black & white nevertheless in very good condition. It's reassuring to know they are still digging up gems like that.
Reference Dave Berry video footage of him definitely survives, 'Little Things' from one of the American shows of the mid 60s (perhaps Hullabaloo?) and also the Ray Davies (the Kinks) penned 'This Strange Effect' from Dutch show Journaal 22nd December 1965.

Also of Dave Berry is two songs ("Little Things" and "Now" mimed) and an amusing interview on a mid 1966 edition of "Beat Beat Beat." He wears a chunky white jumper and indulges in his usual hand gestures and movements sometimes to comic effect. Great performer... he knew how to make it work. Even Bill Wyman recalled being impressed with him with he first saw him in 1963. RPM recently put out a two CD set of his 1963 to 1966 of his complete Decca recordings and a second volume should cover the rest of his time on the label... long overdue sets!
Just remembered... a Jarvis Cocker fronted documentary a couple of years or so back showed a clip of Dave performing "The Crying Game" on what looked like "Supersonic!" in the mid 70's. I felt that was a nice acknowledgement by Jarvis since they both herald from the same city and whenever I see Jarvis performing with his hand movements, I always think of Dave Berry.

I'm always wanting to know what footage survives to represent different artists in the archive and this is a list of some people I have seen very little of and seem generally to have fallen through the net. I am trying to build up a picture and discover what is missing / existing. Can you folks here help me? Feel free to add other acts who seem to be missing from the tv archives. This is my little pet project! Many thanks. Dave Johnny Kidd and the Pirates The Tornadoes Screaming Lord Sutch Graham Bond Organisation John Mayall's Bluesbreakers The Action Harmony Grass Colosseum Edgar Broughton Band Sorry if this has been covered in all those pages behind this (haven't had time to check). What's that colour promo film c. 1965 with the group dressed as 'B' Movie type Robots? Appears to be British. I wondered if that was the Tornadoes. Graham Bond the only clip I've seen is what looks like a colour 'video juke box' type film c. 1964. May be a clip from the feature 'Gonks go beat'? Laurence was the one who mentioned these type of features they had in machines at Holiday resorts. Colosseum the only stuff I know of. The various Beat Club / Musik Laden from Germany. They seem to date between 1969 and 71 and are on B+W and colour VT. I wondered if there might be anything of them in the surviving BBC semi educational series 'ANATOMY OF POP'. I think there was a 'Colour me pop' featuring Harmony Grass but the tapes for that series seemed to have been wiped en masse for the bulk. Lord Sutch; there's the BBC 1962 - 64 documentary on him on film stock featuring performances. I seem to think Dave Sutch used to appear on Thames TV a lot on the evening magazine shows like 'TODAY' but can't confirm. The Action feature in a 1966 programme for the BBC schools TV series '20th Century Focus'. So far as I know the whole run of that series was made on film stock and exists; along with its re -edited follow up '20th Century History'. For Edgar Broughton there is a great German appearance where the band do a set featuring 'Love in the Rain'. I think the band are live which would be unlikely for most British TV so is a unique and representative clip; also considering Broughton was really album rock not mainstream.
