It was mentioned by Keith Read that footage of the ARTWOODS was seen a few years ago. Any ideas who may have it, or where it may be available. Thanks, Tony

Im sure Jerry Samuels was Napoleon XIV ! Napolean xiv was actually played by Kim Fowley whilst the song was promoted in Europe!! Weird I know but that's what happened. Kim also told me he did ALL the major European TV shows in '66 to promote the single. T. Interesting about that. The only one I read of in 'Record Collector' was the straitjacket appearance for TOTP. (Don't recall it from the time). I'd guess the Europe appearances would be very similar then. Didn't Kim Fowley have something to do also with Frank Zappa; maybe an influence - he's in the Zappa issue of MOJO. Sorry to go o/t there.

John - Kim Fowley provided "hypophone" on the 'Freak Out!' album and he supplied vocal content on Zappa's Side Project album "An Evening With Wild Man Fischer "....

Thanks for that Thomas. - The main thing I knew of was that zappa was supposed to have used Ian Underwood; band member to transcribe themes to manuscript for him.
I don't know If Frank read notation but the reason given was Ian Underwood could get the notes onto paper quickly in shorthand. Perhaps Frank Z could write but it would take time to get it all down.
