I was wondering if there was anything new to say about the search for lost episodes? I know its been a while since the last discovery and it all seems to have gone quiet on the search front?
I ask as I publicize my own Who fanzine and I have long wanted to feature something about the search for lost episodes over the years, and an update on what's going on nowadays.

When was the last discovery of any material? 2004 or so wasn't it? I've kind of been out of the loop for a while.

'Day of Armageddon' came back in 2004, the first return since 'The Lion' five years earlier.

I was wondering if there was anything new to say about the search for lost episodes? The episodes are still lost. The search appears to be going almost nowhere because no complete episodes are being found. There are plenty of hoaxes, but that is all the Doctor Who fans seem to hear.

sadly if you read the posts on doctor who on this forum you will see that we seem to be going round in circles without any progress

So it would be safe to say that the search has ground to a halt?

So it would be safe to say that the search has ground to a halt? Well, the recovery of Doctor Who episodes appears to be like a train without wheels. It is not going anywhere.

So it would be safe to say that the search has ground to a halt? Theres many people still searching but with most likely places looked through our chance of recovery is still very low

On the plus side, we're very lucky to have the sound recordings - so even though we don't have the video / film at least we can still enjoy these episodes. I have to confess that sometimes I forget which episodes I haven't actually seen but only heard Unless you are deaf and then you are completely screwed.
