Why are you having a dig at me just because I have only joined this last week or so? I only discovered the site last month, I am interested in missing Dr Who and Top of the Pops so I joined up; I see you joined 3 years after the site started up so you were a new member yourself not so long ago.
Just cos I'm a n00b doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on people trolling the board; I am a long-standing member of other boards, not missing TV boards, and personally I think trolling a forum the way yorky did is a bannable offence. OK, I have made 2 posts criticising other people's content but can you honestly say yorky was acting in a reasonable manner by offering stuff he didn't have then coming back and insulting people because of it. The other post was one you have replied to yourself in a positive manner, but what has extant Chicago TV got to do with Dr Who?

You seem not to be a made up screen name for a someone trying to spam the board. My comment was not meant to offend anyone merely commenting that it seemed odd that two members who had recently joined seemed to be making comments to and fro. As for a dig, I don't really think it was, and sorry if you took it that way, was just theorizing is all, if out loud. As for what Chicago TV has to do with Doctor Who, I have not a clue, was just trying to help the OP of that thread if I could. Just to be clear sorry for the confusion, was not meant to be a shot across your bow!!

No, I'm a genuine new member. Apology accepted, glad that's all sorted out now.
My issue with the Chicago thing wasn't so much that it was posted in the Dr Who section but that it was posted in every section which I think was a bit rude, a single post in the general section would suffice IMO.

I'm sorry! Is there some sort of probationary period you have to serve before you can post on this forum? I am a moderator for a Who site and people like Yorky irritate me - so made my comment. However, if it is some sort of clique where new members aren't really welcome then I'm off!

However, if it is some sort of clique where new members aren't really welcome then I'm off! O.k., I don't know how one sentence started so much stuff, or if its me you are mentioning, but I meant no harm..... I usually just lurk here and read, like at Ian L's forums and only post every once in a great while. So to anyone offended by my posting earlier I apologize. I never knew a muse could cause such strife, I was not saying new members are not welcome to post (This is not my forum in any shape or fashion to say or suggest so..), and I also never 'flame' or badger anyone, much less want to argue over a internet message board. My comment was just meant to say that sometimes (Like I'm sure can happen in the forum you moderate.) people have their jollys by making multiple accounts and spamming the board, and I found it curious that a few newer posters got involved with a known spam thread by this 'Yorkie' person, who would seem the type to do such an act, due to his admission of a false thread on a subject taken seriously by this forum, and a subject that has far too many fakes about anyway. No offense was meant apologies yet again to those offended and to the moderators and owners of Missing Episodes.com for wasting their space and bandwidth.

OK - I am mollified. I have noticed that this site seems to get more than its fair share of sad pranksters and people must get sick of being taken for mugs, but a more than a few members have been on the receiving end of some wrong accusations, which is playing into the hands of the hoaxers.
