My apologies, Jouh, I hadn't realised. Isn't it terrific? Good old TPTV, and good old BBC. No hanging about!

'Before The Ball' looked astonishingly good for a telerecording (35mm perhaps?) and I'm guessing it has a magnetic soundtrack as that was exceptionally clear too. I'm surprised these b&w episodes have (so far) never made it to dvd.

As robkeeley has pointed out on another thread, this was a two-part story, but the second part is missing. Hats off to Talking Pictures for still showing it.
(Though Neil could have come on as Dixon at the end-heaven knows he's young enough-and assured us that "Though Andy was under his missus' feet for a while, he's now fully recovered").

And on Saturday 20th April at 7 p.m., Molenzitch (1972), the one colour episode not on the box-sets. (It was conjectured that release was blocked by one of the actors).

What’s surprising - or perhaps not! - is how much filmed material the colour episodes currently being shown contains. The locations look to be similar to those from other 70s shows, i.e., what would later become Canary Wharf, etc, so there wasn’t far to travel.
Wa# it, effectively, a film show then?
