We know he's chasing Web 3.

I believe Phil's Indiana Jones post refers to one of the shelved ideas for the 5th Indiana Jones movie. In 2012 when Disney bought Lucas Film, I remember reading in an article that part of the deal, besides the unused concepts for Star Wars were unused concepts for Indiana Jones, namely story treatments for a Bermuda Triangle script and a search for Atlantis script.
I would like to believe it is Dr Who related, but realistically I doubt it (I would LOVE to be wrong on this!).

View AttachmentBack in mid-February on his FB page, Phil Morris posted this picture with the comment "Maybe, just maybe..." I am waiting to hear a story about an episode of 'The Underwater Menace' - either that or he's found a bunch of CD-ROM computer games in their original shrink wrap in a tip near Wigan. Maybe, just maybe, there is something in that pile - but he's only just got hold of it and hasn't had chance to look at it yet, perhaps?

Maybe, just maybe, there is something in that pile - but he's only just got hold of it and hasn't had chance to look at it yet, perhaps? You know, after risking life and limb in his Indiana-like wanderings, I'm still happy to await developments as dictated by Phil Morris who clearly also has Barnum-like qualities and we know he's a true Dr Who fan so... his little teasings (like the comment posted by Hugh above) are no doubt part of the show. Pure conjecture on my part but timing must enter the equation so if there is anything to update us on then surely any Dr Who themed public event would be a suitable launch pad? Anyway, thanks for all the musings and sensible prods keeping my wishful thinking in check. I shall now sit back, go to work and wait...

As imaginative as I am, I must confess that I am having difficulty joining the dots on this one. Am I correct that this is a 'missing episodes of doctor who event'? Am I also correct that they have used missing doctor who titles/ images in their advertising? Wouldn't that be a really normal thing to do? To use imagery related to the content of an event to advertise it rather than words and imagery that are unrelated to the content/ subject of an event? Picture is unrelated:

Although slightly less clearly put than your version.

Well, hopefully it will turn out to be a screening of Fury of the Daleks or something, but I won't personally be holding my breath

I've booked a ticket as there are some interesting guests and it could be an interesting day.

Quite. And I hope that John has an enjoyable event; moreso a revealing one. Perhaps the audience could take a straw poll using the pack featured above to vote for the guest contributions with Philip Morris winning by bringing along some missing Dr Who film cans featured on his company's Facebook. As Walt Disney said "if you can dream it....." My IT skills won't let me add a picture of a mouse but just use your imagination.

If the same posters are ever used to advertise an event celebrating found stories, let me know!

My personal thought is there is not likely any more released. Phil got lucky in nigeria. Whether he has located more or not, i dont know. but if he hasn't yet, there is unlikely any magic except following various leads which normally are dead ends.
I still thank for him for what he has found and if he has located more, hope they get released

We do know he [Phil Morris] dug up a lot of Film Cans in the desert, but he has not mentioned if they were recoverable or what was in them. That info was in one of his radio interviews last year.

I find it difficult to imagine burred films to be salvageable. No air, freeze thaw cycle, moisture, etc. If a cache of Dr Who prints were unearthed (literally) and found to be completely destroyed, would I want to know (rhetorical question for me)? I doubt they would hold up as well as Atari cartridges in New Mexico...but please, prove me wrong. My unrealistic hope is "found at BBC, old closet behind bookcase filled with lost 16 mm treasures."

The limited information that was given suggested that as the films had been dumped in the desert it was possible that some might be salvageable due to the environmental conditions there. It will be interesting to hear the full details, whenever they might be released. I read somewhere that someone suggested checking the landfills in Wellington, New Zealand, for the films dumped there from NZBC - now that sounds pretty unlikely to me given the local environment.
