Not the best Troughton but one I grew up with. It's one of the few complete second doctor stories we have. It's original video release was edited due to censor cuts this had. I also have the dvd release. I know the censor cuts were found in Australia so is the dvd release now complete? Thanks in advance for replies

So the censored parts of The Dominators have been edited back in the DVD Release?

There was no need to "edit back in" the censor cuts as the DVD uses the original uncut telerecordings that had been donated to the BFI by the BBC, instead of the cut versions returned from Australia that had been used for the VHS release. This was all explained in the earlier thread...

This was all explained in the earlier thread... As well as the negatives, which were known about for many years (in my database since the mid 1990's) there is also David Stead's complete print of episode 5. That's been known about since the 80's. We never felt the need to transfer it as we had access to a perfect negative. Paul
