Yes, but most (if not all) were visibly truncated by Kid stepping in and linking, rather than edits.

I noticed that 20th Century Fox blocked the BBC from showing the promo to the no.1 record 'Theme from MASH', they broadcast the legs & co. routine again instead. Great picture quality on BBC4 HD incidentally.

OK, I'll look forward to seeing it & seeing how different this format was to the older ones & the "Party" editions I remember from when I was young.

BBC4 HD is only available on selected transmitters (not mine, Sudbury, for instance : but is on Tacolneston up the road near Norwich) : it is on an extra MUX but not on the normal ones.

Re 7/8/80 - the 'look' of the show (studio set, lighting etc) hadn't changed from previous.
Though it was notable that artists were miming completely, e.g. The Piranhas and The Gibson Brothers, who might at least have had a live vocal previously.
And in particular Kelly Marie - previously such a solo artist would have sung live, backed by the TOTP Orchestra.
The orchestra were missing from the credits.
Legs & Co were a bit more 'raunchy' I would say. And beginning to interact with the audience more.

According to TV Cream the next few weeks will show some experimental features on shows that did or didn't last.

I have notice there been a big jump in missed episodes, there is nothing for June and July ,is that due to the strike at the time or is DLT on them

I've never seen this edition since I last saw it on UK gold in 1994. I noticed in the seated audience behind Tommy vance & roger daltrey there's a young woman wearing a navy sweater with a different BBC motif on it. Anyone spotted that too?
