Since there are some season 7 stories where original color is missing, I guess it's time to add the next season.
(We all knew this would happen sooner or later:) )
Have Fun:)

Yes, it was just a matter of Time...but resistance is useless! I opted for Spearhead as it shocked me at the time as Patrick Troughton had gone (regeneration was not something that my age group appreciated), the confused Doctor was amusing, the Autons were introduced, it had that different 70s feel to it (music, colour and gritty) and there were iconic scenes (twitching shop dummies and the bus queue being mown down). It got us off to a great start for the 70s and we left behind the black and white era ... until VHS and DVDs appeared. Still rate the other three and each were brilliant in their own way but Spearhead was just that - the spearhead.

I had a feeling someone would set up a Favourite story of Season 7 poll! When I made the Season 1 poll back in February, I had no idea they would become this popular!
Anyway, very difficult, with out a doubt one of my favourite seasons of Doctor Who, but I went for Spearhead from Space. But Inferno is a very close second...

Didn't like Spearhead at all as I have mentioned many times before IMHO new Dr Episodes tend to suffer from bedding in issues. Let's hope Power if it ever turns up proves to be the exception. Any way, back to the question in hand, I will have to go for Inferno. Nice variation on a theme with jumping between parallel universes and changes in the characters as a result etc. Good Sci-Fi. Must watch it again, haven't seen it since the days of VHS, mind you I haven't seen Ambassadors since 1970, so perhaps I will order that too, hmm....

Interesting about Inferno I personally think that it's the weakest story of season 7 if only because the story does not get my interest very much! I very much like the Silurians, The caves and underground complex make it feel like a Troughton.

Seeing as Spearhead was the first Doctor Who story that I watched, it gets my vote.

Just of all the stories in the cracking Season 7 it's the one that I would pick holds the least interest for me. However The one part of the story I do like is the alternative universe.

Spearhead, for me. I quite like Inferno, but I do feel that seven episodes is generally too long for a Doctor Who, there's a lot of padding in most of this season.

Very difficult choice this one. In the end Inferno won out, JUST, over Spearhead. But they're all great.

I like this season, although by inferno, you were a bit fed up with the doctor being in a nuclear/power establishment complex, which had been used as well in the previous two stories.

Watched Inferno last night and it was excellent. I would place it a neck ahead of Spearhead and Silurians and I like the "Doomwatch" style gravitas of Series 7 with a bit of dark humour tossed in. it was also the first bit of Doctor Who I ever saw before my uncles and aunts kicked me out of their front room to protect me from the Primord scenes. Too late, I was hooked for life.
Ambassadors is a bit too disjointed for me and the aliens are underused. On the plus side, the scenes with the space suited figure marching inexorably onwards still chill me to the bone.

I'm just wondering what if we had the same amount of stories for 7 that we had for 6. That would have been an interesting season.

Spearhead for me. Others are good, just over long
