Hi Peter, The Red Lion pub at the end of the video may well be The Red Lion pub Sunningdale Berkshire ? Situated on London Road. The pub closed in the early 1970s and became a restaurant. Hi William, Carol confirmed on facebook that you're right! Hi Peter, Thanks Peter, I'm glad the mystery has been solved

Hi Peter,
The Red Lion pub at the end of the video may well be The Red Lion pub Sunningdale Berkshire ?
Situated on London Road.
The pub closed in the early 1970s and became a restaurant.
One of the girls seen outside the pub is actress Carol Dilworth of The Golden Shot, who was the fiancée of the singer Len Chip Hawkes of The Tremeloes.

Rather than churning out rubbish like this, Curry's should instead concentrate on the quality of their service and the products they sell, both of which have gone down since they gained the monopoly on high-street retailers: I stopped shopping there a few years ago, having had poor experiences and buying several sub-standard items. Oh, for the days of Comet and Dixons! Well said Dave

My very first job was in a branch of Currys in 1979, and (as well as being an appalling ad), it reminds me how much scruffier everyone has become - one of the very first questions I was asked during the job interview was "Do you own a suit?"!! They would'nt even ask that question now Peter, it just shows you the general lowering of standards in society these days. A lot of the public walk about like scruffs these days. Mind you, I was once refused entry into a theatre in Scarborough in the 70's as I was like a Status Quo clone in double denim ! ... I was still a teenager. The fashion I can't get my head around is the ripped jeans thing ? and not just wee rips but blooming huge ones at times ! Do they not see it's not a good look ? and they are being "ripped off" (sorry for the pun)

You've got to do some damage to the Currys brand now, William, to even things up. Maybe persuade someone to watch an episode of Curry and Chips? Good idea John !

I have just had the misfortune to see this advert for CURRY's ... I despair about modern day TV ! thank goodness we can still access TV from the past How Curry's sanctioned an advert like this is beyond imagination It's a terrible looking ad, it's true - but from a Curry's POV it's done it's job. You remember it amidst the raft of less memorable adverts, and you're talking about it, and sharing the link, online. Whether you like the content or not, it has put the name of Curry's in your head. I see your point of view; and yes I shared the link, but, I felt a compulsion to make a point about how c*** the advert is to me. Also the name of Curry's is not in my head. It's not just this advert by the way, most of the current TV adverts do my bloody head in (Help, I'm turning into Victor Meldrew)

Thank you very much William, I can just about read that now (will look more closely later). Not sure if it's the actual "morons" article though? Thanks Peter, Did they actually use the word (Morons) in the interview you are looking for ?
