Thanks Mike and Alan,
I have just counted the episodes I have on this thread and it comes to either 32 or 31 depending on whether they have counted the one-off Hogmanay 1963 special as part of a series?
1962 series...26/10/62...2/11/62...9/11/62...16/11/62...23/11/62...30/11/62 = 6 episodes.
1963 series...18/9/63...25/9/63...2/10/63...9/10/63...16/10/63...23/10/63...30/10/63...6/11/63...13/11/63...20/11/63...27/11/63...11/12/63... and a one off?
for Hogmanay 31/12/63 = 13 episodes or 12 if you do not count the Hogmanay one off?
1964 (According to my research there were no new episodes at all for 1964?)
1965 was split into two series 2/2/65...9/2/65...16/2/65...23/2/65...2/3/65...9/3/65...16/3/65...
...Series two...11/7/65...18/7/65...25/7/65...1/8/65...8/8/65...15/8/65 = 13 episodes.

I thought i would google Glen Michael just out of curiosity blimey i was surprised to see he done cartoon cavalcade i remember this being shown on southern itv great to see he's still around. This is interesting, It was only believed he Cavalcade was broadcast on Westward in 1967–70 and Grampian did broadcast the series off and on in the 70s and 80s But Southern is a NEW one. Can you say what years this might have been? Cheers for the inform Willaim, I dare say his mind is playing tricks on him. I know alot of photos are still around in the STV archives of the series. You can see Glen here : player.stv.tv/summary/10-pictures/

Thanks for the link Mike. I wish I could get access to the Francie and Josie photo archive that you mentioned at STV. You could ask STV? There are a few in Glen Michael Auto bio, including rehearsal. STV ( Scottish and Grampian) may not have kept the tapes of TV shows, but when it comes to Photos there a stock pile of wonders. I remember a few years ago on the video blogs, there brought out the photos and pure treasures.

I shall have good look around, Westward never took at the same time as STV during the week. So its possible sundays were used.

You really are bang on the money, It went out on Southern in late 66 on Thursday before switching to Sundays in 67. Tyne tees also dipped its toe with this series in 67.

Glad to be of service mike the memory can play tricks i wonder if anything from this series still survives. I believe nearly every thing from before 1986 has been wiped, viewers have sent in tapes. The earliest know copy is from 1982, It was on the net, but I did download a copy, and has the krankies on it. Here is one from 1983: www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7WafRvwSrQ Xmas day special which replace morning worship in 1983: Here is Glen talking on Live at Five. player.stv.tv/video/1nzt/live-five/glen-michael/

Any forum member know if STV might have sent footage of the 1960's comedy of Francie and Josie to Scottish troops abroad?
I've just sent an e-mail to the Scottish Sunday Post asking the same question. Whether they deem it worth a reply or not remains to be seen.

William what happened to Stan Mars? He wrote for another long lost comedy show featuring Dickie Henderson called 'A present for Dickie'... the running gag in the show was that he was keeping a baby elephant in his house (don't ask) ..very funny and popular at the time.

Don't know Peter I hope he's still alive and well. I did'nt know he wrote for Dickie Henderson and having a running gag about a baby elephant in the house sounds a bit bizarre.
I can still vaguely watching The Dickie Henderson Show when I was wee. He was very popular.

The Dickie Henderson show was very popular as it covered many bases at the same time. On the one hand it was a bog standard Mr and Mrs type TV sitcom but there was always an element of farce to the story lines and Dickie was a master of physical comedy, which is primarily why I remember the show. Sadly he seems to have now fallen into that category of performer who was very popular in his day but is now largely forgotten. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQDwVxX4oQY&list=PLX9C24fvuTJT6ncSVUBYu4s-OnN7_g8Pk

I'm 60 and I can just about remember his TV show.
