Dear Missing Episodes
What is the archive status of That's Life? The mother of a friend of mine was on it once; she had a prediliction for eating wood, of all things. They have no copy of this and hope to be able to get a copy through the contributor access thingy. She was on in the mid 70's - sorry, can't be more specific than that!
Any answers gratefully recieved...
regards
Howard Johns

Archive status is pretty good - it may all exist in fact...

Yes every episode is there. Not out of choice, but error.
Esther has said a few times how she went to the archive department personally and said to stick lables on the tapes saying the show might have legal action taken against it, thus episodes would need to be kept for a bit longer.
The bit longer turned into never being wiped.

Yes every episode is there. Does that include the short-lived 1980 spin-off series 'Junior That's Life' ?

Yes, and even *it's* untx'd pilot (though that's only 7 programmes in total).

Perhaps not exactly on topic, but I'm wondering about the exact TX dates for the series. I know it definitely ran from circa 1976 - 78, but seem to think it may have run earlier (1973?). I have vague memories that Lance Percival and Jake Thackray might have appeared in early editions (may be wrong).
