Just been thinking about Dickie Henderson and wondered if his bizarre short lived sitcom still exists called "A present for Dickie" ?
The present in question was actually an elephant which for some reason has to live inside his 'bless this house' style Thames sitcom house.

According the the '95 edition of the Kaleidoscope guide it's all gone to the great bulk eraser in the sky.
Shame really - it sounds such a madly implausible concept it would have to be worth seeing just to find out how it could possibly work.

Ar thanks Mathew. What a shame . I believe the comedy revolved around hiding Lulu (elephant's name ) from various visitors , one I think had Lulu hidden upstairs with the consequental shudders to the structure of the house, and Dickie saying his large mother in law was staying..that type of thing. I would also think it was cancelled purely due to logistics than popularity?
