Just a question to anyone who has bought the DNAYS DVD.
Does it contain the 'Captain Fantastic' series with David Jason and Denise Coffey?
To anyone not familiar this was a weekly cliffhanger series that was part of DNAYS. Very funny (at the time) hero and villain type slaptick. Infact Elton John liked it so much he named an album after it.

Yes, I have it. They all are complete (idents and adbreaks included) and contain the Captain Fantastic episodes. A DVD well worth buying (much better than early reports indicated, which is more than can be said for the companion release of the 1948 Show, which is sadly poor value for money and contains only ropey ropey quality compilations and none of the six surviving complete editions).

I have read in some books relating to Python that when DNAYS ended, there was a spin off serial of "Captain Fantastic".
Though I presume none of these have survived, what is its archive status and what other details are there? Baz

Yes, it was run as a spin-off series in Magpie for a while. I can recall seeing this myself. Similar format to as it was in DNAYS, although none of these seem to survive (as far as I know anyway).
