Abit of light relief from all the rumour threads. Last night I watched again the British TV Awards as screened on BBC 1 earlier this year with a view to saving to DVD the special programmme Award segment. That of course went to Doctor Who. But as I cued it up and watching the end of the previous award Grahma Norton (hosting) made a quip and then there was a cut to the audience. To my surprise was the profile of Peter Capaldi, complete with goatee beard! This was months ago. Long before the announcement he was to be the 12th Doctor! And then Graham Norton goes into his verbiage for the Special Award and a clips sequence from 50 years of Doctor Who. So....all 12 Doctors together for the very first time! Trivial I know but I just thought the BBC ought to preserve it simply for it's spooky premoniton. Please, if you have it on record watch it to see if I'm right.

It seems to happen rather a lot - Radio Times have managed it twice. The 'Five Doctors' edition back in 1983 featured a piece on Colin Baker, who'd been announced, but also had a piece on Sylvester McCoy in another programme; then the 2005 edition for 'Rose' had Tennant on the cover!

And, of course, David Tennant narrated the documentary, "A New Dimension", that aired just before "Rose" in March 2005.

Your memory cheats, I'm afraid - Doctor Who certainly had the cover itself the week "Rose" went out. It was the TARDIS, which folded out to reveal Eccleston and Piper inside. Tennant was on the cover for "Casanova" a week or two earlier, mind.
