Was it perhaps you who was asking about it on another site some time ago? The BFI has a copy that's available for viewing. So it exists, and if you are in London (or possibly at some affiliated institution) you can likely go and see it (for a small fee).

Makes me feel old - think it was #5 i worked on - was called "Alright on Xmas Night" for 1st TX then #5 for all repeats. I think all the shows got shorter after 1st TX and for video/DVD release as some clips couldn't be recleared. And they were always one-offs rather than series, at least when Denis did them. Also "Denis Norden's Laughter Files" which were clips that weren't quite bloopers. Don't forget that Denis also did "Denis Norden's World of TV" which was a 1 hour special - it was commissioned as a series but Denis didn't want to do it so some bloke called Clive James did it. Modesty also dictates I mention "Denis Norden's Trailer Cinema", as it was my first producing job ) All these shows should exist as masters still.

Does anyone know the original ITV transmission date for It'll Be Alright on the Night 5 ? Seems there are 2 versions one which has the titles of 'No5' and the other having 'It'll Be Alright on Christmas Night' which was from 25-12-87.

Ahem... speaking as one of the 2 film researches on Alright 5, I can tell you that it was indeed the same as 'It'll Be Alright on Christmas Night' but we recorded alternative links and changed the Xmas clips out replacing them with non-Yuletide ones for the inevitable repeat as it was indeed Alright on the Night 5. Can't remember the 1st time the repeat version went out mind... I do know this was the highest audience figures for AROTN though As I said earlier in the thread - all the shows got shorter after 1st TX and for any video/DVD release as some clips couldn't be recleared.

Does anyone remember WHICH one highlighted live-recorded shows? I remember that had some pretty funny improvisations.
