I vividly remember clips from both these shows appearing in editions of Telly Addicts. However I have heard nothing exists in the archives from either of these two shows. Am I misremembering or do only clips exist? Thanks.

I'm sure I remember the Telly Addicts clip of United and it was from b/w videotape. As far as I recall Mark McManus-later Jim Taggert-was seen in the clip. It may be a case of only one ep surviving or a clip was found on a review show,ie Talkback perhaps,or on a compilation reel. This is how a clip from a World of Wooster ep came to light a few years ago, along with other BBC clips, mostly of lost shows.

Interesting mention of a "United" clip - must try and see if I can find where that comes from as I wasn't aware of anything much existing from it. There are no episodes in the BBC archive and nothing at the NFA as far as I know - all that I knew of existing is the end credits of one episode on the front of an off-air recording of something else (sport, I think) and a fleeting glimpse of some of the action of another episode during the line-up of another off-air...
