I'm really saddened by this morning's Underground attacks. I hope that neither anyone who posts here or their loved ones were harmed this morning.

Yes - I have many people close to me there including a friend of mine who works as a paramedic in London. Haven't heard from them yet. Touchwood that everyone is properly cared for.
My deepest sympathies for all my friends, family and others there...

I know they wanted to reduce rush-hour tube congestion, but this is extreme even for Tony Blair.

I have just read the remark placed by someone called "MICHAEL" on the topic marked "My Sympathy for this Morning". Regular readers of this forum will probably have noticed that someone called Michael has posted items and infomation on this site before relating to various topics about televison, lost shows and querys about actors and so forth. This is me-I am not the "MICHAEL" who wrote the totally disgusting remark about "tube train congestion" and "what Tony Blair will do". Even yesterday,Mr.Blair was as shocked and distressed as everyone was in reacting to the events that had happened in London. It has affected us all,the day after Londoners and the British people were in celebration over winning the 2012 Olympics when we were all so proud to have won the games after putting in such a huge effot to win them, our way of life was disrupted by terroisim. People have unfortunatly died as a result, others critical in hospital, shocked, confused, people still not knowing if there friends, relatives, partners have been accounted for. When I heard about the bombs on wednesday morning I put the TV on to see what was happening-as more pictures became avaliable they showed pictures of Tavistock Street and were reporting that a double deck bus had been blown up-at first it was thought to be a tour bus but as they showed diffrent shots I realised it was a London bus-the fact that I work for a living in London as a bus driver made that sight all the more horrific. The media reports that the bus driver survived along with other passengers;some did not. I realise that sometimes on this forum there has been the occasion or two were some obtuse remarks have occured in reply to topics or in discussions in this forum through misinterpriting peoples comments or not reading an entry properly, but I can not pass by this item without making my own personal comment. Perhaps this so called "MICHAEL" who posted this remark does not ever use trains or buses or lives outside London;this person needs to look at the pictures in the press and TV at the aftermath of what happened, the wrecked trains and bus,the way the NHS staff selflessly threw themselves into trying to save as many lives as possible, the bus drivers whose buses were commandered by Police to take wounded people from Aldgate station to Whitechapel hospital, people who thought Wednesday was just going to be another day. If "MICHAEL" reads this,I hope "he" takes time to sit there and think about the impact the attacks have had on everbody, not just those who were involved, but those who were affected by the aftermath and who will have to live with it for the rest of their lives. Thank you to the person who started this thread-it shows that there are people out there who do care about others and want to express there feelings and sorrow-all to often in this world it seems like people don't care any more. To be honest,I am not bothered about who the other "MICHAEL" is-I have put my views on this forum for the whole world to see. Thank you for reading this post-I hope nothing like what happened on Wednesday ever happens again.
