how well represented in the bbc is this show? there's a 1972 edition on ebay right now.

You could try contacting Horse of the Year at their web-site: www.hoys.co.uk/I wouldn't know whether Horse of the Year '72 exists in the archives or not. |

Some but not all of the 1972 Horse of the Year Show is still held by the BBC (the holdings are pretty reasonable overall, for most years).
Couldn't say whether this one is held as there are no details - a tx date or a recording number (eg 16/6S/[five figure number]) would help identify!
