Hi, hope you can help here please, and not sure if anything is missing and i apologise if this is not the right forum etc, but if you dont ask ... I discovered a theme to a sci fi radio series from appx 1965 on one of my Dads reel/reel tapes. You can have a listen here youtu.be/H9dMu69LIOMIt starts of with "A distant star a dying planet a race of desparate men......" Its sound sort of like The Invaders type of genre ? I would be interested to know (and so would my dad !) what it is please as he cannot remember and i can find nothing online Many Thanks Andrew

That's it, thanks very much, its a shame we only have the theme tune which will as likely exist with one of the remaining epsiodes. Regards, Andrew

Hi Stephen, i asked my dad and he said his pop tunes of which there are 2 tapes along with the themes i put on my YT channel, would have been from Saturday Club or poss Easy Beat, as he remembered it was Brian Matthew, there are no idents other than the songs on the tapes . There is the odd recording of songs i suspect from Caroline, as the 2 tone bong appears along with time checks in the middle of songs There is not that much of any note unfortunately over the 2 tapes, as they have been edited quite well just for the songs !
I do also have quite a large amount of recordings from R3 concerts from the mid late 70s, and poss early 80s which i am not sure if anyone has any interest in I presume the BBC would have all these recordings ?, they are on 10" spools and recorded at 7ips in stereo and quite good recordings. They are listed as BBC northern Orch/BBC Scottish, all sorts of stuff really
Regds Andrew
