John G, you may have no appreciation of popular culture. Remember if Shakespear was alive today he would be writing for Dr Who, but there wasn't much sci-fi in those days. The effect Dr. Who had on a generation cannot be underestimated. The unfortunate side-effect of generating geekisim and distorted sexualities can be forgiven for the vast good the programme has done. Thus in many, the family unit has been replaced with Dr. Who - this may be a sign of changing shifts in popula\r culture. What was yesterdays throw-a-way gum card is today's treasure.

Iv'e been in this Game 20 years now and have seen prints. discs etc that I know for Certin are missing.. but the gentelmen who have them say and i quoute (remember this kiddies) "why the hell should I lend my prints out, I own em, and have for the best part of 40 years. They shouden't have got rid of em in the 1st place.. bloody fools....." Very interesting. Are you able to tell us what you've seen that is missing? I guess one answer (if there are such people you know who are left alive) is to get them to assign the stuff to you/the braodcaster in their will, or persuade them to let you put stickers on the cans saying "valuable. if no longer wanted please call xxxxx who will collect..." or make sure their families have your details and know you would like them.... or all of the above. It is surely worth contacting such people again and pointing out the high likelihood of the stuff getting trashed when they die.
