A few years back both News/Points West on BBC1 and the HTV News on HTV West, would have features, which uutilised their respective archive's film footage, showing colour and also black and white footage, puzzingly there doesn't seem to have been a switch from shooting location film reports on b/w to colour on a set date, both channels show colour footage captioned as 1970 onwards, but also b/w footage upto 1974 , was there a long transitional period for some reason?
