I was researching the director, James MacTaggart (also a producer and writer), and was amazed to find this is getting a DVD release. I have only vague memories of watching it, on a b/w TV with terrible reception.

I watched this yesterday and really enjoyed it. Certainly the most faithful adaptation of 'Through the Looking Glass' I've seen. The source material shows some wear and tear, and I'd guess the PAL-NTSC conversion has downgraded the image a little, but by and large the quality is fine.
The DVD box states a running time of 66 minutes but I timed it at just under 74 minutes.
