It's the 1979 series, which probably explains the lack of interest. If it was Episode 1 from the original series, I bet there would already be a bidding war!
I secretly hoped that it would be one of the missing episodes when I read the thread title. I wonder if I was the only one...

That collector has a lot more than that. He lets a little bit out at a time. Also lot of old A-R stuff is possibly being hoarded. Though he is a tough character and I know that attempts to wrestle material from him have met with stiff opposition. Perhaps a kindly touch is needed. Sometimes the best way into a collectors psyche is to buy a few bits and pieces and then form a friendship. The Quatermass print is a true rarity being an old transmission print.

Mr Winchester that particular collector, has made many contributions to the world of ancient telly. He use to read /may be still does? these columns and contribute. So the manual you have published here on your deception techniques might be worthy of Tony Blair's panjandrums , but will not hold water with particular collector. If he was bitter and twisted over his collection I would not blame him in the slightest, but I doubt if he is ? Even though he must have got to point where he cannot know where a friendship is genuine or a ' Winchester ' freindship. BTW. I dont know the person and have never met him.

'Helpful Hartley', thanks for the drubbing down. I didn't understand your posting (it had all the intellectual flavour of 'The Bunty Annual - 1967', but I got the gist. Are you still making Jam or aggravating Octavia? Inquiring minds need to know.

Mr Winchester with regards to the ' Bunty 1967 ' annual , what you read in your own time is your own prerogative. The basic message was that you dont have to deceive people to to get hold of material.
ps.Marvellous you remember Hartley and Octavia.

Pipkins? That horrible shop with ratty toys and moth eaten puppets? I'll stick to me Bunty and the adventures of Lyn Raymond, Air Stewardess, thank-you very much.
