Interesting one this, we double-checked it carefully for the LE Guide, looks like those held in the US are NTSC colour, not sure where they are held though, they aren't with the ATV collection at Perivale, at least they weren't last Summer. So they aren't in the UK as far as I know.

Stephen, Yep,there are late-50s performances on the third disc of the boxset. Christopher, That's a relief! I was worried that I might be belabouring the already-known.The BFI have-or at least list-the show from 15/6/1969 which might be worth checking if it hasn't been already. Perhaps one day we'll be able to see Liberace and Rolf Harris playing Stylophones-in colour!

The one with Liberace and Rolf Harris playing Stylophones - on 625 colour vt, has been shown at a recent Kaleidoscope event. I recall Neil Ingoe and I started a round of applause in the audience, but nobody else joined in.

I thought this episode as screened at the event was proper UK 625 colour vt - it looked like it. Definately did not look like NTSC.
The attempt to start a round of applause from us two at the back was genuine.
The only response was that someone in a middle row looked round to see who was clapping. I think the clapping put him off his sandwich.

Ah-ha again. It looks as though that's the one listed at the BFI,i.e. a PAL version, which would make it the only known one in its original format? (I should have twigged this before).

And for those who missed it,here's a chance to see Liberace explaining Rolf to an American audience: www.youtube.com/watch?v=imRaRW4ltOs No Stylophone, but we do get 'Jake the Peg'...
