I like a challenge, so I had a bit of a trawl on Google etc. I can’t say that I found much, though. However, I did find a couple of references to the series on a site called The TV Shelter. On doing a search of this, I found references to some episodes which were broadcast in 1971 on various ITV Channels. The date is prior to the dates shown on Lost Shows, but I think this is possibly the right show as one episode title ties in with Lost Shows (although the other one doesn't) as follows: 4.50 Bush Boy. A Day With The Giraffes. Two artists, Maurice and Jeannette Fievet, intended to spend a year painting in Africa, recording life of African tribes. They were still there five years later when their son, Francis was born; and 11 more years passed before Francis visited Europe. The narrator is Bob Franklin. 4.20 Bush Boy. The Zebra Hunt. Catching Zebras from a bouncing track is exciting and dangerous work, as Francis discovers in Amboseli Reserve. On looking on Google, Maurice and Jeannette Fievet are genuine people (eg books.google.co.uk/books/about/Les_n%C3%A8gres_rouges.html?id=CgIwAAAAIAAJ&redir_esc=y ), so I suspect that this is a factual programme. I note that son Francis (Fievet) appears in the two programmes as well (unless there is more than one Francis), so maybe the series revolves around him. The link to the TV Shelter page is: s6.zetaboards.com/The_TV_Shelter/search/?c=1&q=bush+boy&type=post&sort=desc&forum%5B%5D=-1&s_m=2&s_d=3&s_y=2007&e_m=12&e_d=29&e_y=2012 (You'll have to do a search for Bush Boy within the page) I might try a bit more detective work later, but like you, I have found information to be sparse to say the least.

Oh that's clever,Mike.Thank you! I wondered if it was a documentary, but seemed to remember a Bush Boy Annual.Which wouldn't prove anything either way, come to think of it.
The game's afoot!
Added: Jennette's 94 now, living in her native France.I wonder if the show exists in the French archives?
So the shows were from Southern TV? That might be a good sign.In the long term.

I first came across this show during the Great Search, and thought it was time I mentioned it.
Funny that there's so little information, and what there is seems contradictory.Could the '75 dates be repeats? The shows seem to smack of Jacque Cousteau and Armand and Michaela Denis.
