Found a picture in an ITV year book. Dated 1969, of Sir Francis Chichester. This was named as 'TALIESYN TALES'. The description fitted what I recall. Running early on Sunday mornings on LWT, Francis Chichester related stories from different religions all around the world throughout time. Sometimes I think there were guest speakers discussing a faith. The set was bare, with a large globe on a plinth.
The titles showed pictures of various depictions of angels and devils with a Francis Chichester narration, describing the stories. It was set against a stock electronic 'spacey' sounding sound effect; I seem to think was used for the flame ball in THE AVENGERS (FROM VENUS WITH LOVE - 1966).
I enquired in the late 80s - 90s overlap, to LWT about the possibility of purchasing an off line copy. They said it would be feasible, but it would require transfer to domestic format. At the time I didn't follow it up unfortunately.
I wonder if the availability might have been on spec. or whether it was confirmed from archive holding listings. Does anyone know if the item is actually held?
