Great to know additional clips have surfaced. It's like putting pieces of a puzzle together. Hopefully someday all the pieces come together.

The colour versions of the shows seem to exist in the US; the b/w do not seem to be complete. The show was shot in colour AND b/w, separetly. There is a longer thread about this somewhere in the Forum.

If you look on the Timelife DVD, you can on the Steve Wonder segment flip between the NTSC and PAL camera angles IIRC This looks like a PAL edit from the first show. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvHkWl8HfrI

Jeff, TV Brain still lists multiple episodes missing from the show. How do you know only one episode remains absent in its entirity, and where are the others held?

Presumably TV Brain only refers to the UK episodes. I do believe (though I don't know for sure) that the US NTSC episodes are pretty much intact.

Yes that's what I heard Peter I was also under the impression that any complete shows or clips that are on youtube are probably from NTSC episodes and not the U.K ones.

The sought after 'The Who' appearance is one where both colour masters are lost or damaged etc I believe.

Yes, the colour version of The Who's appearance has circulated among collectors in perfect quality for some time.
For a long time two of my "holy grails" were both appearances by The Dave Clark Five, but again they're available now.
