Hi, all, thought i'd share this video No. 73 Anytime Anywhere Part 2, because of the fun we had making it, story, set building and the stunt! The Gang at No. 73, go out to meet Nadia who's a shopoholic, but the fur snatcher comes running and crashes into the gang, quite funny and she seeks revenge!

Been looking for a no. 73 episodes for along time! Still.. doesn't look like there is any archive or repository of old episodes? I've contacted ITV who said the BFI might have some,..but got no reply from them.. or Disney who now owns TVS. Is there anyone who would have full episodes on VHS or some sort of video file ? I have a few tapes from back when I was living in the UK.. Theres some snippets of No 73 episodes.. BIg Match and Brain Power are some that come to mind from Series 7 .. which was the height of the show IMHO. Demolition I thought was easily the best of Series 7... but I've lost my VHS tape of this.. Anyone have the episode ?? Or any other eps from seasons 7 - 8 Thanks

Or any other eps from seasons 7 - 8 Thanks It might have taken 11 years to get here but, thanks to Made in Maidstone, 'Demolition' is not only confirmed to exist but available to view - and on a Saturday, no less! www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGBvnkwsiMs As MiM has been uploading episodes of No. 73 for a while, I thought an update might be useful. It seems the situation regarding the wiped series of No. 73 (6, 7 and 8), while better than it appeared last time anyone posted in this thread, isn't quite as rosy as TV Brain suggests: - Series 6: There are three or four episodes missing, including the final edition which Chris Gilbert mentioned at the start of this thread.
- Series 7: The two episodes Daniel mentioned above are among the 12 Saturday shows missing from series 7 (out of 28), along with 4 Sunday shows. So if Daniel is still out there and still has his tapes, they'd be of interest to at least a few people
- Series 8: There are 4 Saturday shows fully or partly missing (all from October 1987) and 10 Sunday.
- 7T3: This is very well served with off-airs, and only one show missing (12th March 1988).

Thanks Paul! It would be really useful to have an up to date list of what exists, in what formats, and what doesn't. There are at least two episodes listed as completely missing by TV Brain (Dramatics from series 6, and the 20.12.87 Sunday show from series 8) that are on the Maidstone channel, both apparently sourced (directly or indirectly) from the master tapes.
Just watched Demolition and it's hilarious and brilliant. I can't believe the trouble they went to for a live Saturday morning show for kids.

No 73 series 6 episode 2 has just been uploaded again in higher quality and the comments are saying it's a master recording on 1". It looks as if it could be true as the quality is very good, but I thought no masters of 73 survived after series 5? TV Brain says this one is domestic recording only along with other editions from that year. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CskIYAx_KIThanks Paul! The upload of Series 6 Episode 2 is indeed a domestic recording, and from the same source as the original upload; it's just been 'restored' to make it look nicer, which is why it's fooled some people into thinking it's from a master tape What was said back in 2012 is still essentially true: from series 1 to 5, the masters almost entirely exist, and for series 6 to 8 they mostly don't. There are a few exceptions to the former: one very early show that was never recorded in full because the master tape ran out (!) and a handful of season 4 editions that were moved to a different location and never returned - luckily those are all covered by a mixture of ex-master u-matic dubs and off-airs. As for the 'missing years'... There are no master tapes of Saturday editions from series 6 to 8 (with the exception of S08E01 which is at the BFI). And that was true of the Sunday editions as well - until, fairly recently, about twenty previously unidentified tapes were found to have Sunday No. 73s on them. Which is nice! There are also a large number of VHS dubs from now-wiped master tapes (about 35 or so, across both Saturday and Sunday), which is why some of the Made in Maidstone uploads are VHS quality but have the countdown clock, etc, at the beginning (such as the two you mentioned). Any uploads that are clearly from a domestic format and don't have the clock are off-air recordings - there are about 26 known to exist, from various sources. With a bit of luck there are still some more out there, though!

Thanks Paul, that's good to hear. Is someone in a position to update the TV Brain list?

Another update! I thought the simplest and most useful thing would be to list the missing episodes, so that in the event someone comes across a recording there's a quick and easy way to see if it's of use. There are 29 missing shows, 17 Saturdays and 12 Sundays. The dates are: Series 6: 1-Mar-1986, 19-Apr-1986, 26-Apr-1986 Series 7: 4-Oct-1986, 11-Oct-1986, 8-Nov-1986, 29-Nov-1986, 13-Dec-1986, 18-Jan-1987, 25-Jan-1987, 31-Jan-1987, 7-Feb-1987, 8-Feb-1987, 14-Feb-1987, 1-Mar-1987, 28-Mar-1987, 4-Apr-1987 Series 8: 20-Sep-1987, 4-Oct-1987, 10-Oct-1987, 11-Oct-1987, 24-Oct-1987, 31-Oct-1987, 1-Nov-1987, 8-Nov-1987, 22-Nov-1987, 29-Nov-1987, 6-Dec-1987 7T3: 12-Mar-1988 A number of clips exist from missing editions. Some of them have already been listed in this thread, but here they are for completeness: 26-Apr-1986: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXgZzg1vGJQ&t=162s (Ethel & Harry etc) 11-Oct-1986: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMSzfSZ6eh8 (Stranglers) 8-Nov-1986: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnUT051hEPI (Loch Ness Monster), www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUZJoIZLXcY (Erasure), www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mOd072k9WY (Erasure) 31-Jan-1987: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wbGeOVxBRM (Then Jerico) 7-Feb-1987: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RD-rr8_mfNE (Fuzzbox x 2) 1-Mar-1987: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HSDLJZbuUY (Flamenco) 12-Mar-1988: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hInHeH2BW2s (Aztec Camera x 2) If anyone spots any I've missed please ring the novelty doorbell and let me know! There are also several film inserts in existence from otherwise missing editions. More on that in the table below, along with info on the cast, musical guests and storylines from each episode that might help with dating any clips:
