Maybe someone here could help me. I watched The Signalman on first broadcast, might have watched Stigma (but not sure) and definitely did watch The Ice House on initial showing. But ... I also remember a short ghost story at Christmas, on BBC2, round about this time (late 70's) that was basically about 3 teenage lads in a West Country village, hanging out with each other, and one of them makes a lot of fun of this old tramp who lives locally. This old tramp never seems to get any older, a fact confirmed by one of the lads' father, who remembers him from his youth as being exactly the same. Anyway, the lad who picks on the tramp most, he does something reprehensible, then something else happens ... and at the end of the film, it's made clear he's been transmogrified into the old tramp ... Familiar to anyone??? Can someone tell me what it was called, who was in it etc etc etc

It doesn't ring any bells but sounds possibly like a West Country Tales or Leap In The Dark episode. Failing that, a single play of some kind. Just guessing though.

Moving slightly, surely "The Stone Tape" should be included as that was a Christmas ghost story ?
